member of the family to put something in the box everyday of Lent
This year as you know is the year of the
Eucharist. The pope has asked us to follow the road of Solidarity for "the
Eucharis is not simply an expression of Community in Church Life, it is also a
project of solidarity for all humankind". We as the Christian Community of
Clontuskert when we gather as Community for our Sunday Masses express our
solidarity as community and do so even more effectively by receiving
communion. Trocaire are highlighting the Eucharist to illustrate the
connection between the breaking of bread at the last supper and the feeding of
the hungry in our world today
I want to congratulate the people of the
parish who have decided to make a special effort to go to daily mass for at
least some days of Lent and maybe more might join them in the coming weeks. I
would also like to appeal to all Station areas to try and ensure that each
area would have a Station during Lent.
